Artie playing friend of the devil in at the airport. Marianne looking on with tearful eyes. Sentimental sweetness. Why do girls always fall through those who would destroy them. At night we went to huset. We met Jack Jack Miles Janice Janet Gary Mike Susan and Dan there. Got really stoned first. Then danced and drank the night away. I love dancing. I love jazz. Great night. We missed the last bus so me Gary and Mike  walked home. We got home at 4:00 in the morning and found ourselves locked out. We had a climb through the window waking up miles 6/3/73 An easy nothing day. Just took it easy. At night me Miles Jack Susie ebbe yakob and Marianne went to Tivoli. Sunday August 27 off to the Rhine-2023

So it is the Sunday before we leave for our Rhine River Cruise on Wednesday. As always there is anxiety, anticipation, excitement, and worry. I am recovering from a bout with some sort of bug. Many of the symptoms seem like the new COVID. I was pretty down for about 3-4 days with my body aching, a headache, a constant cough and sinuses being real bad .Overall a sense of tiredness and feeling feverish, though I did not run a temperature Even today I'm not 100% as I just don't feel the same energy as when I'm fully healthy.        I've been plotting out the trip and hoping for the best. I'm excited about travel but not sure how well wendy and I travel together anymore so the trip has mixed fillings. Work is going well as I finally settled reelan and hoyer, and desiato is around the corner. Still not as many settled as I would like but enough to make things good. So 2023 should be a good year. The question is how much I have to do in 2024.   ...

11/19/21 weekend

So I felt I should set down on average weekend. It is now going into the fall and getting a little bit cold out though not quite winter. I still am taking my Fridays off, but have been not venturing very far. This Friday was typical. Got up had breakfast and then went on the computer and went over my bank account, IRA, eBay, and various other sites. I then played panzer corps for about 2 hours.        I then went to Lowe's to get a plexiglass cut, then to the comic book store, then to the library. I ate at habit Burger which wasn't bad. I got home and then did some eBay work. I then read Bernard Cornwell's Warlord therefore finishing the series. I checked my bank account. I took a nap. We then had dinner and watched the zoo. Afterwards I watched Wheel of Time

10/28/21 conn

So today was a really good day. The kind of day that is  why I travel. In the morning I went to DJ's for breakfast- it was really good. I had Sunnyside up  with sausage and home fries and a biscuit and gravy. All of it was excellent. I then went to the Coast guard academy and went to the  museum .It was okay and involved a lot of reading and  not so many exhibits. It was interesting that there was no bookstore or gift store . I then drove around the academy which looked pretty cool. I would  have liked to done a tour but they did not have one, unlike other service academies . I still have to go to the Air Force academy to complete visiting all of  the service academy's.            I then went to the Lyman Allen art museum which was excellent: really good presentation .A small museum but more than a decent .I spent over an hour and a half -they had some very interesting stuff and ...

10/27/21 A trip to Connecticut

So I felt that a October break was necessary for my general peace of mind and part of my transition to less work and  more travel. Originally I tried to convince  Wendy to take off the week and go to Chicago and back ,but she was reluctant to do so for variety of reasons. I originally planned on  going to Gettysburg and  Altoona but the weather did not cooperate. As the weather front was going from west to east, I decided to go east .I  ended up going to New London ,Connecticut. On Tuesday I took the day off and pretty much worked on eBay, relaxed and went to see Dune which was excellent.                On Wednesday I left around 11:00 in order to avoid rush hour which worked out ,as previously the Google maps was showing delays .However  as I drove up to the Tappan zee there were no delays at all. It was pretty much smooth driving most of the way with only a very...

paris 6/5/73

June 6th Saw Notre Dame. Ran into Andrea who is waiting for a friend. Had lunch of French bread, pate, carrots and cucumber salad on the Ille de la Citie. Sitting on the seine having a picnic. Went to the Louvre. Saw the Mona Lisa, Venus de mile .david, winged victory and more..it was very impressive. To say the least. Paris really is a fantastic city. At night we were hanging around on the left bank. We ate really good cous cous for supper which was served with wine and oriental mushrooms for 9 Franks at some  really small Algerian restaurant . We found a whole section of cheap restaurants by the seine. We hung out at a cafe for a while drinking Pernod. We walked around at night and saw Paris at night .Notre Dame all lit up .We got to sleep around 1:00. Walking around the Sorbonne having visions of revolution in the street 6/7/73 I'm hitting the midweek point of trying to make  my money  last  till the weekend when my next payment of American Express by my budget is...

more camp1969

I often had starts and fits in terms of writing in my journal or keeping up on the journal. I do when I look back reflect on the fact that the period of the 68 to when I started law school in 76 was perhaps the most creative. My life. Soon thereafter it changed. I don't know if it was due to law school which crushed creativity or being married so I the romantic ups and downs were down with or just life in general that became too real and therefore escaping the fantasy was harder and harder. The summer of 69 was the greatest it was one of the greatest if not the greatest summer of my life it's a period where I most grew and changed to what I was for the high school college years and perhaps for the rest of my life. I grew in so many ways and became much more rule I was ultimately to become. I was away from high school and sorge and therefore could develop on my own. I often felt camps a great place to change and grow away from the expectations or the social pressures in one'...
